First things first...

Alright, word. Let's do this.

I started this blog partially out of boredom, and partially out of pure wanting to do it, but mostly out of boredom. Lately, I've been in the mood to start up a message board (I used to help operate one throughout high school), but without any sort of foundation to build on, I was stuck. A friend of mine also blogs here, and I've always admired her dedication to her writing, so I figured I'd give this a shot. It's something for me to do that's slightly more constructive than wasting my time waiting for something exciting to happen on MySpace or Facebook, or outside of the internet within the confines of my own bedroom.

My blog name pretty much explains the creativity portion of my genes: lacking. Sometimes, I'll have creative ideas, but if there's one thing I suck at, it's naming things.

The URL is another aspect of my life that I've recently discovered: I'm always waiting on something. It may not be something significant, but needless to say, I'm always waiting.

The secret, hidden reason behind this blog is that I'm hoping to use it sort of a memory enhancer. See, I have a horrible memory, and I'm not exactly sure why. I do love reminiscing, and I look forward to looking back (oh, how I love puns) at this in a month, or six months, or however long it takes for these postings to be pushed back in my mind, left for dead, only to be resurrected with a hearty "Oh yeah! I remember that!" Also, I've been told I'm a decent writer, so I figured I'd work on improving that skill a little bit too.

Also, on a completely unrelated note, today was my sister's 23rd birthday. Happy birthday to her!

Nice first post! Looking forward to reading more from you.

It's always good to have a dumping grounds for your thoughts and a place to record memories...for the forgetful such as yourself =)

"Looking forward to looking back." Haha, good stuff.

And happy birthday to your sister! She now shares her birthday with this blog.
